Hello and good day...

The Gonser family has had an exciting year or so. Full of new and exciting firsts.

Starting off last May 5, 2007 not only did Mike graduate from IU with a major in Ethnomusicology/Folklore and a minor in Music, we were married! It was a fun-filled perfect low key, pitch-in celebration and party. It was a great day of music and fellowship, a day that we will never forget.

We bought a home June 2007. We are still in Bloomington living on the very southwest side, just outside of city limits. The house is a perfect size for us, and is on a half-acre, which our dogs have a fantastic time frolicking. We have started a garden which we have enjoyed working on and watching grow into beautiful flowers and plants.

Both of us have started new jobs. Mike has just received a promotion and is now the Manager at the South Kroger Fuel Center and also works for the Monroe Country Library. Sara is working at a local medical office, IMA, where she works with Medical Records.

Something else new is that we have recently purchased a Jeep. Living out in the country made for a nerve-racking winter for Sara. Now she can kick it in 4x4 and not get passed by school buses.

Another first, we are expecting our first babe September 27. We found out that we were pregnant the end of January, right around Mikes' birthday. We are very excited and have been busy reading, studying and preparing for this journey. The doctors that we are seeing are fantastic and we feel very comfortable with them. We start a 8-week birthing class at the end of the month where I am sure we will learn even more. Last month we found out that we are having a girl. Both of us have thought that we were having a girl for awhile. It was so great to see her through the ultrasound. She was pretty active, but crossing her legs until the very end. We also got to see her open and close her mouth, pick her nose and bring her legs above her head. We have decided on the name Avolyn Rose. Avolyn was Mike's grandma's name, who passed away a few years ago that we were both close to. Rose is a family name on Sara's mom's side. Sara is feeling wonderful. No sickness at all, just a bit tired. Avolyn has been pretty active and it has been reassuring feeling her move around. Just this morning Mike felt Avolyn move around for the first time! Another first!

We know that this is just the beginning of many new and exciting adventures in our lives. We look forward to sharing and exploring this whole life thing together in love, laughter and music.

Thanks for sharing with us, we hope that you enjoy our blog and updates as they come.
